This programme has been developed in response to student demand for an appropriate progression route following the successful completion of the Skills for the Workplace: Health and Social Care (CertHE).

This programme aims to produce recognised Higher Education qualifications of subject areas related to health, digital health, and social care sector. It also aims to provide appropriate progressive studies which have relevance to careers in the primary functions of care within the health and social care sector.

This course will offer an opportunity for personal and or academic development to the individual student, respecting and building on prior relevant study or vocational experience. To also enhance the student’s ability to exercise investigative, reflective analytical and reasoning powers in context. The programme aims to provide the student with the knowledge and skills to extend their study and training post-graduation.

  • Successful completion of Level 4 CertHE Skills for the Workplace: Health and Social Care (120 credits).

  • There are a variety of assessments such as presentations, projects, reports and blogs. Due to the focus on employability, graduates from the BSc in Health and Social Care will be able to pursue careers in the widest possible range of Health and Social Care areas.

  • There will be no mandatory additional costs to study beyond the payment of tuition. Students should be prepared to incur the basic costs associated with studying such as transport and any on-campus purchases including printing, coffees, snacks or other sundry items.

    Many students also choose to invest in study support tools such as laptops, tablets, and/or software over the course of their studies. Any activities related to study or student life which bear a cost beyond tuition will be optional, and the expense shall be clearly communicated to students at the time of registration.
