What you will learn

This course’s student-centric approach to learning and personalised assessment opportunities through reflection will allow you to engage in a way that is meaningful to you and your development.

By considering and applying the knowledge gained in relation to your own skills, the programme fosters continued professional development and a reflective and reflexive outlook.

The focus for the programme team is on assessment for learning, as well as assessment of learning, with a key emphasis on developing and enhancing the assessment literacy skills.

The programme has been developed with a holistic view of the skills and attributes that you will need to develop to support you as a learner and then as an employable graduate.

Support is provided through tutor guidance in relation to assessment methods and students are also encouraged to engage with peer support to enhance skills development.

All tuition is through English, but students are welcome to submit their coursework in Welsh.

  • Applicants will normally be required to hold an Honours degree although applicants with vocational qualifications and experiences will also be considered.

    Suitable for applicants from UK and international locations.

    Both International and UK applicants are required to go through an academic interview before being offered a place.

  • Assessment methods are primarily coursework based, with a focus on offering a variety of potential outputs, including presentations, portfolios, case study responses as well as written assignments.

    International students may find the assessment methods familiar within the context of the UK (United Kingdom) but unfamiliar to them as students. If you require them, a range of scaffolding techniques will be used to support and guide you as you progress through the programme.

    The delivery and assessment patterns of the programme are designed to be as inclusive as possible for all students with an emphasis on small group learning and personalised support.

    There are three modes of study: on-campus, online and blended (a mix of on-campus and online modules).
