The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø (ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø) offers a range of on-campus facilities as well as  for Youth Work and Early Years Studies. Students benefit from immersive learning environments, including storytelling rooms and sustainability-focused gardens. 

These programmes feature professional placements in nurseries, schools, and youth centes, as well as excursions to parks, museums, and the Swansea Environment Centre. 

Flexible degree options, delivered during evenings and weekends, accommodate diverse schedules. Guest lecturers and additional accreditations in areas like safeguarding and child exploitation further enrich the learning experience.

Outdoor learning utilises the natural environments in Swansea and Carmarthen for experiential activities. Facilities include a sustainability-focused garden behind Yr Egin, in Carmarthen, and off-site trips to parks and museums, providing hands-on educational experiences.

Regular personal tutorials offer pastoral support, and work placements in modules provide practical experience. Various assessment methods reflect real-world practices, preparing students for professional roles in education and community settings.

Innovative immersive rooms create a fully immersive virtual and augmented reality experience. Guest lectures from industry professionals and additional accreditation opportunities in safeguarding and child exploitation enhance learning. Our state-of-the-art immersive rooms, the first of their kind in Wales, feature cutting-edge Samsung LED screens spanning three walls to provide a fully immersive virtual and augmented reality experience. These innovative learning spaces are particularly beneficial for Youth Work and Early Years Studies students, offering realistic scenarios for hands-on practice and training. By utilising these immersive rooms, students can engage in storytelling and create engaging educational experiences, enhancing their learning and preparing them for real-world applications.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø emphasises the importance of outdoor learning for Early Years Studies. Utilising the natural landscapes of Swansea and Carmarthen, students participate in outdoor educational activities that promote experiential learning. At Cynefin, part of our Carmarthen campus facilities, students engage in hands-on activities that foster environmental awareness and child-centred learning. This setting helps them develop practical skills in outdoor pedagogy, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, essential for their future teaching careers.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø offers a variety of workshops and accreditations to enhance students’ learning experiences and professional qualifications. Workshops cover essential topics such as safeguarding, child exploitation, homelessness, and mental health, providing students with practical skills and knowledge applicable to real-world scenarios. These sessions are often led by guest lecturers who are experts in their fields, ensuring that students receive up-to-date and relevant information. Additionally, students have the opportunity to earn additional accreditations through programmes like Choices and Barod, further enhancing their employability and professional competence. This comprehensive approach ensures that graduates are well-prepared to address complex issues in their future careers.
