Students of Surface Pattern and Textiles at ���ϳԹ���’s Swansea College of Art recently immersed themselves in a series of inspiring symposium events that offered a glimpse into the extraordinary employment and entrepreneurial opportunities that lie ahead of them.

Congratulations to the winners of the Swansea College of Art Summer Shows Awards! Each year, the exhibition presents the culmination of degree work by graduating students. Their final pieces are viewed by staff and professionals on the lookout for standout talent.

One talented alumna from ���ϳԹ���’s Swansea College of Art, Marie Wilkinson, is marking a milestone in her burgeoning career as her designs make their debut at Tesco stores nationwide.

Each year ���ϳԹ���’s BA/MDes Surface Pattern and Textiles programme team seek out ambitious Live Project partnerships for their students. Currently ranked 3rd in the UK, 1st in Wales, in the large and competitive field of Fashion and Textiles degree courses (Guardian League Tables 2024,) this ���ϳԹ��� programme based at Swansea College of Art, hails much of its success due to the vibrant Entrepreneurial Learning strategy that underpins the student experience.

Emma Landek , a fourth-year student at ���ϳԹ���’s Swansea College of Art has an exciting summer ahead as this month (July) she starts a paid internship at Rolls Royce.

���ϳԹ��� has been placed first in Wales in seven subjects in the Guardian University League Table 2024.

Final year student Ellie Jones, who is studying the Integrated Master of Design Surface Pattern and Textiles programme at Swansea College of Art ���ϳԹ���, has secured an exciting role with British fashion and homeware retailer Matalan.

To kickstart the final term of this academic year, ���ϳԹ���’s Surface Pattern and Textiles programme has been celebrating the incredible employment and entrepreneurial opportunities that lie ahead for their students.

Birmingham-born Safiyyah Altaf’s path to ���ϳԹ��� began with a family move to Wales, where she attended Neath Port Talbot College to study Textiles. Her learning journey has continued and today, the 23-year-old is graduating with a BA in Surface Pattern Design and Textiles from ���ϳԹ���’s Swansea College of Art.
