Request for filming, photography, and recording on ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø premises. We recognise the important role of the media in communicating the University’s achievements and aspirations and we seek to facilitate this work whenever possible.
The University can offer producers and filmmakers access to a wide range of internal and external settings for commercial and non-commercial filming.
Our estate covers locations in Swansea, Cardiff, Carmarthen, Lampeter and Aberystwyth. Our buildings, grounds and interiors range from nineteenth-century listed buildings to more modern architecture.
We have specialist equipment and resources across our campuses including the Roderic Bowen Library and Archives which is home to the University’s special collections in Lampeter and state-of-the-art technology and facilities at our Swansea campus.
Journalists and non-commercial filming
Please contact the Corporate Communications and PR team, if you wish to film a news item at the University or if you are a student carrying out project work involving filming on campus. Staff who are taking part in media work are kindly asked to contact the Communications team to inform them of any filming/media requests. We will liaise with other departments of the University including the Operations Team to seek the relevant permissions and to ensure that no other conflicting activity is taking place on the campus.

Commercial filming
If you would like to enquire about filming at the University, please contact the Operations team to discuss your enquiry in the first instance.
All relevant permissions must be given, and submit documentation prior to filming taking place. This will typically include evidence of insurance details and a full risk assessment in addition to a location agreement and agreement of a location fee.
