ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Netball Team Finishes Undefeated Season with League Title and Promotion
The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø (ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø) netball team has had an outstanding season, finishing the year undefeated and earning a well-deserved promotion to Western Division 5. Competing in ten matches, both home and away, the team showcased remarkable consistency, skill, and determination, securing victory in every game and claiming the league title.
The team has shown tremendous growth, particularly with the integration of many first-year players. Despite the challenges of building new team dynamics, they quickly developed strong chemistry and worked together to achieve success. Their ability to adapt and perform at such a high level highlights the depth of talent within the squad and the positive team culture that has been fostered throughout the season.
In addition to their league success, the netball team made an impressive run in the Conference Trophy, demonstrating their competitive edge in knockout competition. Reaching the semi-finals, they proved their ability to perform under pressure, further solidifying their reputation as a formidable team.
Hannah Poole, Head of Netball at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, expressed her pride in the squad’s accomplishments and progress this season. She said:
“The team has worked hard this year and come away victorious. I am beyond proud of what this team has achieved and can’t wait to see what we can do next year. We’ve had a difficult start to netball at the university; however, this year, the team’s hard work has paid off. Thank you and congratulations to all members who have represented their university on court. ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø is now recognised in the netball world.â€
As the season draws to a close, the team is already preparing for the challenges ahead. With their promotion to Western Division 5, they will face tougher competition, but their performances this season have proven that they are more than ready to rise to the occasion. Preparations for the new season will begin in September, with the squad focused on building on their success and continuing their development.
Meanwhile, the academy is expanding its sporting opportunities, with a focus on establishing a women’s rugby team to compete in the upcoming BUCS 7s tournament. This initiative aims to encourage more female athletes to participate in competitive university sports, providing them with the opportunity to represent ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø at a high level.
