What is your favourite thing about Carmarthen campus?
I love the location of the Camarthen Campus. It is perfectly placed for a variety of outdoor adventure opportunities, easily accessible from the M4 and the Cynefin outdoor centre was the perfect base.
Why did you choose ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø?
I was searching for a distance learning MA that I could fit around my family life and career. The course offered a really flexible course which fit well for me. I also chose the programme based on the interests and expertise of the lecturers.
What did you enjoy outside your studies?
I work in outdoor education and also have a busy family life with my wife and children. We spend most weekends on adventures in the mountains or by the sea.
What do you hope to do when you graduate?
I completed the MA to increase my academic understanding of outdoor education, the field in which I already work. My studies have greatly deepened my knowledge, which is passed on to my further education students. It has also deepened my passion for evidence based practice and therapeutic work outdoors. I intend to complete a PhD in diversity and inclusion in the outdoors.
What is your favourite thing about Outdoor Education?
The wonderful supportive community that I built with my lecturers and cohort.
